My sister Norah and her husband Ted have opened the World’s First Skateboard Deck making school here in Toronto! As an opening gift I made them some black vinyl aprons customized with their logo for students to wear and happily protect favourite clothes from glue and paint. A film crew from Much Music came out to do a feature story on making a custom deck. The picture above shows Tim and Rebecca gluing up the layers of veneer looking awesome in very nice aprons being helped out by ace teacher Mike. Hello there and THANK YOU so much. We’ve already received our order of 9 Adult bibs for our 22 year old disabled son, that was fast to California. We all help to feed our son and my husband loves the bibs, as do my son and I, there is just no comparable item here. Your Bibbitybop Bibs are durable and have outstanding design and color choices and so comfortable to boot! Finally!!! Some perfect vinyl bibs, the other adult bibs are way too long and we don’t like the terry cloth.

We are currently on vacation in Florida. We are staying at my father’s house which is on a small lake and we spend most of our time outside enjoying the scorching sun, lizards, and the beautiful lake.
Eating outside could have been a challenge because my father and step mother are not used to having children in the house and therefor do not have ‘child friendly’ utensils, tableware, etc.
Lucky for me I brought our new Bibbity Bop placemat with us to help protect the table from the mysterious globs of gunk we call food.. .that come from Madelyn’s hands and mouth. Eating time can get really gross.
What a lifesaver.
The heavy duty vinyl has come in REALLY handy. Madelyn loves to feed herself now and quite often she misses her mouth and her mushy food lands on the placemat. When we are at home, she uses a highchair so I simply remove the tray when she is finished eating and clean it in the sink. What’s easier than removing a tray? Picking up a placemat! That’s what.
After Madelyn eats I take the placemat and hose it off. It’s as easy as that. If we were at home, I would simply wipe the placemat off with a washcloth, or paper towel.
I have to say that I am afraid Madelyn won’t want to eat in her highchair when we get home from vacation because she clearly LOVES to eat at the table with us. She looks and I can tell she feels like such a big girl sitting close to the table and using a placemat and utensils like the adults do.
What’s really great about Bibbity Bops placemats is that not only are they kid friendly with the vinyl cover, but they are available in several stylish designs that are sure to please both parents and kids. Handmade Bibs that Work! (and are nice looking too!)
It seems like we are all on the quest for the perfect bib. One that stays on, is light and comfortable to wear, easy to clean and machine washable, and attractive too.
Bibbity Bop is a company specializing in handmade bibs, mats, and aprons, all made by owner Alice Hiller. Alice sent me a sample of one of her best-selling medium bibs, and I figured it was just like every other bib I have tried. But throughout the past week I have been using it, and not only has Jacob been keeping it on due to the extra large velcro closure (first sign of a good bib!) but I really like the look and feel of it (awesome, stylish fabric selections!), and the ease of wiping it down and keeping it clean.
In addition to her kid-sized bibs are adult bibs (great gift for an elderly grandparent), aprons, towel sets, placemats, and more, all handmade (and embroidered by her neighbor!).
