The Slimming Apron

Slim Apron
Welcome to Bibbity Blog 2006! Many new goodies are in the works; new fabrics and new designs for spring are coming soon.
I wanted to share with you some neat retro apron designs from my neighbour’s stash of vintage patterns. This “slimming apron” might come in handy right about now if you, like me couldn’t resist all those holiday chocolates!
Our grandmothers and mothers in the 30s to the 50s would have had a number of aprons for different occasions. Customers have asked me if anyone still wears aprons today. I don’t know if they actually do, maybe they just buy then to look pretty hanging in the kitchen. I know that if I have one handy that makes me look like a domestic goddess I’ll wear it!

  1. I wear my one-and-only-apron when I’m making my Friday night pizza dough. I rather like kneading my own dough, (and it tastes great), but I always get puffs of flour everywhere. Aprons are great, for a dough-diva like me!
